A word on the Lithium Batteries in the MG & Rover Remote Fobs.We send these Remote Control Fobs to many countries around the world.But due to new Lithium Battery restrictions by the International Civil Aviation Organisation
–(ICAO & IATO) Some Countries will not allow the batteries to be sent via airmail. Some have restricted ALL lithium batteries via Airmail and Normal surface mail.Due to these restrictions customers buying fobs from

not receive a battery.The will have to

PROGRAMMING & EKA CODES
We will program your new fob(s) to your Pektron unit the day we get it and post it back the same day.
You will get it back before 1pm the next day (except Sunday) this applies in the UK only.
We can also supply the EKA code from your Pektron Unit.
This allows you to unlock the immobiliser so you can drive home if you lose the fob or it stops working.
We charge £10 for the ACTUAL Working EKA code NOT the £20 charged by on-line companies.
Those are from the original MG Rover Codes database that is neither comprehensively updated, nor complete, and that has numerous documented errors.
The ONLY sure way to obtain the 100% CORRECT EKA code is to READ it from the Pektron SCU unit ITSELF.
Which is what we do. (Also applies to the earlier 5AS SCU units).
EKA codes are a four digit code (normally) that you enter by turning your key in the driver's door lock
LEFT & RIGHT in a set sequence. (can supply instructions)
We can also program fob(s) to LOCKED OUT Pektron SCU units.
That have been rendered non-programmable by normal key fob programming equipment.
Usually this occurs when the alarm has gone off and the fob is not available or not working to turn off the immobiliser.
Programming a new fob will not affect ANY fobs you already have installed/coded to your Pektron SCU unit.
The new fobs are coded into the Pektron SCU with the supplied 22 hex digits.
Then when stored those are converted into the 28 hex digit format.
Just like the older stored ones (if you already have fobs coded).
These stored 28 digit hex codes can be recovered and re-used in another vehicle, if needed via key fob programming equipment.
Which we can can also do via mail order.
TOTALLY FREE BACKUP OF YOUR DATA FOR FUTURE USE
We are the Original Company that first offered, and still offers, this FREE serviceBefore any work is done on customer's Pektron SCU unit(s), for what ever reason, we always backup ALL on-board Data.
This Data consists of the configuration info:
EMS Code - sent to the Engine ECU to allow the car to start -individual to each car.
EKA Code - allows the starting of the car when all fobs are lost
KEY Fob Hex Codes -the barcodes that are encoded to the Pektron SCU unit
Vin Number - Car ID number
Other Vehicle specific data
IMPORTANT data is initially backed up and saved to two different locations.
Then stored for the foreseeable future in the event that a clone may need to be made.
We can clone your original data to another spare or replacement unit and ALL the systems on your Vehicle will work as normal.
Some customers use this to keep a spare in the event of a problem, then the car is not off the road while repairs are made.
The RETRIEVAL and storage of this DATA is a FREE service offered to all our customers.
